Wed Nov 8 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports a pretty good day of fishing on the Viking Starship. We started up close to island this morning and had a good pick of quality Porgies in there, but unfortunately we were chased out by the tide. When the tide starting running we did some exploring and dropped in a two spots before getting back on them. When we got into a nice pile of fish it seemed to be a solid mix of large Porgies and some decent size SeaBass.  Our pool winner was King Chapman all the way from Sumpter, South Carolina with a 2.8 lb Porgy. Unfortunately we will NOT be sailing tomorrow (Thursday, November 9th) for our 5AM Block Island Porgies and SeaBass. We will be running a Veteran’s Day Special this weekend for all active and retired military to receive $25 off a full day trip on the Viking Starship or Viking Star this Friday Nov 10, Sat Nov 11, and Sunday Nov 12!
