Thur Nov 16 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports a pretty good day of fishing today on the Viking Starship. The  ground swell seemed to knock the bite today as it was a bit off from what it’s been, when the fish bit they seemed to fall off or steal the bait. We had a small shot of Porgies this morning, but they were on the small side. Conditions bettered as the day carried on and we had some good drifts. The last hour and a half of fishing today was red hot with large Seabass, Cod, and a few Blues. The first prize pool winner went to Eric Jarvis from NY with a 2 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner went to Tom Erroll from Brooklyn with a 13 lb Cod. We are sailing tomorrow at 5am for Block Island Porgies and SeaBass, the ticket office will be open at 4am.
