Thur Nov 27 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports some decent action fishing today on the Viking Starship. After a few days of high wind we were finally able to get back out fishing to Block Island and had a pretty good day. The conditions today weren’t great which didn’t make for the best fishing with dirty water and some rougher waves coming through but the bite was there. The Seabass seemed to bite very well today with a lot of really nice fish on the boat today, we only saw a handful of Porgies too in the mix of the dirty water. We did however managed to boat about 15 keeper Cod all in the nice size range. The first prize pool winner went to Warlito Momongan from Caldwell, NJ with a 2.3 lb Porgy.  We will definitely be sailing tomorrow at 5am for our Block Island Porgies and SeaBass, the ticket office will be open at 4am for sales!
