April 19 – Gulf of Maine Haddock/Pollock – Viking Starship

2 Day Gulf of Maine
Capt Steven Jr reports an excellent trip to the north last weekend on our Gulf of Maine trip on the Viking Starship. By the end of the trip everyone except a couple of guys had their two day limit Haddock and a good amount of Cusk and Red Fish mixed in. The first day had steady action, but we had a lot of short fish to cull through to get to our keepers. The second day started off hot and slowly diminished to a pick as the  day went on. We also had about a dozen Wolf Fish and a few Cod that were safely released.
This was our only scheduled trip on the big boat up that way, but we have a few scheduled Gulf of Maine trips on the Viking Fivestar in May that have space on them. As far as other offshore trips coming up we will be getting into our Tile fish season and there are some openings on the trips in May. You can view all trips at vikingfleet.com and book online or give the office a call 631-668-5700 for bookings and availability.
