Wed May 22 – Montauk Spring Porgies

Capt Dave reports a pretty decent day of fishing today on the Viking Starlite. We didn’t have to stray too far from the Island today, with a slow start to the bite we made two drops had ourselves a solid and steady bite. As the day carried on we sa double-header Porgies coming over the rail. Most fish today were around the large size, not quite jumbos but quality was great. We did not have a pool on the boat today with the light crowd, but our high hook was around a 2lb Porgy. We will not be sailing tomorrow (Thursday, May 23) on our Montauk Spring Porgies due to weather, but we expect to be sailing daily into Memorial Day Weekend!
