Sat May 25 – Night Squid Jigging
Capt Carl reports a frustrating night on the squid grounds. Our first couple drops were duds, but our last drop we had thousands of squid all around the boat attacking a giant ball of bait attracted to our bright lights, but we could not get them to bite our jigs. High hook only had 10. He was using a small light weight Yozuri jig on the surface. It was a very finicky and frustrating bite… maybe it was the moon? We know where they are, and we want to give it another shot next Saturday night, June 1. Sailing at 8PM.
