Thurs June 6 – Nantucket Sleigh Ride – Viking Starship

Capt Steven Sr reports a fantastic trip on the Viking Starship! Fluking started out slow, so we poked around here and there, but didn’t find much. We headed off to search new areas and it was Lock n’ Load!! Very Very good with Quality Fluke all over 5 lbs. Joe Douse, who was unfortunately not in the pool, brought up a whopping 13.4 pound Fluke to start the action. Tom Lambert had his personal best and first double digit Fluke coming in at 11.4 lbs and taking the pool. Brian Martin’s Fluke were all over 8 lbs and took second place with an 10.3 pounder! Other notable catches for this 30 hour trip were Tinker Mackerel, a bunch of nice Whiting, Squirrel Hake and some pesky dog fish in the mix. All in all a memorable trip with a great group of guys!
