Mon Sept 9 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports another pretty decent day of fishing today. We started off today just east of the lighthouse, kind of in the area we left off yesterday, we had some pretty good action here with mixed sizes of Porgies, a handful of keeper SeaBass, 3-4 keeper Fluke, and some little Blue fish. We eventually made a move offshore into the SeaBass grounds and got onto some better action with a lot more throwbacks to keepers, but were able to find some nice quality fish in the mix, with SeaBass up to 3 1/2 lbs. We also managed to boat a Cod fish in that deeper water. The pool winner today went to Mr. Lee from Queens, NY with a 2.3 lb Porgy. We will definitely be sailing again tomorrow  Tuesday, September 10th at 5am.
