Tues Oct 8 to Thurs Oct 10– 60 Hour Tuna/Mahi LTD

Captain JR reports an excellent trip onboard the Viking Star. We had two great nights of chunking yellow fin tuna of all sizes. The jig bite was also quite hot at times keeping everyone very busy. We also hooked MANY swords that proved difficult to land but managed to boat a couple. Day time hours we trolled around and picked a few nicer yellow fins and chunked a few Mahi to add to the catch. We easily got our limit all around the boat and had a great trip. The chunk bite is definitely on and we look forward to our next trip.

The first prize Tuna pool winner went to Mark Checki from Bergen County, NJ with a 70 lb Yellow Fin Tuna. The second prize Tuna pool winner went to Chris Renna from Kings Park, NY with a 65 lb Yellow Fin Tuna. The Mahi pool winner went to Chase Renna from Kings Park, NY with an 8lb Mahi-Mahi.

We have ONE SPOT left on our second to last tuna trip of the season leaving October 15th on the Viking Star. This is another 60 Hour Tuna/ Mahi trip limited to 22 passengers, this trip leaves at 6am Tuesday and returns Thursday at 6pm. Get in while fishing is hot!
