Mon Dec 9 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports a good day of fishing today on the Viking Starship. Today’s action seemed to favor more towards the SeaBass with most anglers having their limit of some nice keeper sized fish. The Porgy bite was ok, they were around just not really chewing, but we manged some decent Scup on the boat. We also saw a handful of Cod aboard the boat today a long with a lot of Bergall. Overall, some pretty good action and we are looking to see some improvement tomorrow with the nice weather. The first prize pool winner went to Bruno Vidaic from Massapequa, NY with a 2 3/4 lb Porgy. We are sailing tomorrow at 5am on two trips, our Block Island Jumbo Porgies and SeaBass on the Viking Starship and our Coxes Ledge Cod and SeaBass on the Viking Star, our ticket office will be open at 4am for check-in.
