Sun May 18 – 1/2 Day Fishing PM

Captain Carl reports a rather breezy afternoon for our 1/2 Day trip on the Viking Star. We started off Fluke fishing but the drift was pretty fast and we only managed a few shorts and some Big Black Sea Bass that had to be released. So, we shifted gears and put the diamond jigs on and worked the birds for some over-sized Striped Bass, some under, and a couple of slot sized Keepers! The pool winner the afternoon was Patrick Donnelly from Levittown, NY, with a 10 lb Striped bass. We would also like to wish a very Happy Birthday to 9 year old Sonny Kauffman of East Hampton, NY who jigged himself up a beautiful 30 lb Striped Bass! a man standing on a boat in the water a person standing on a boat a man holding a fish on a boat
