Fri Aug 8 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports another day of excellent fishing on the Viking Starship. For a good part of the morning we anchored up hiding from the tide. We got our fill of Porgies around the lighthouse with mostly Larges and some Jumbos mixed in. When we were done Porgy fishing we headed offshore for Sea Bass. There was a better showing of keepers than we have been seeing. Everyone had a few and some had their limit with Sea Bass up to 4 lbs. The pool winner was Elric Jarvis with a 3.5 lb Porgy.
