Mon Sept 2 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies and Knothead Seabass

Capt Dave reports a great trip on the Viking Starship. We started out offshore south of Montauk looking for Sea Bass and had excellent conditions and a lot of keepers. There were small ones to pick through, but everyone managed keepers. Triggerfish were very plentiful too, we had over 30 large ones on the boat. The trip finished up by the lighthouse where the conditions weren’t great, but there was a lot of action with good size Porgies Sea Bass and Mackerel. Winston from the Bronx was the pool winner with a 2.4 lb Porgy.
