Mon June 15 to Fri June 19 – Captain’s Choice ULTRA ULTRA LTD

Capt Steven Sr reports an absolute slammer trip on the Viking Starship. Fishing started out slow, but as the wind eased off fishing got better and better. By the end of the first day all coolers were full of Tile, Hake, Cusk and a few Pollock. On the second day we hit a deepwater wreck and fishing was Insane! Every drop was solid double headers with 8 to 14 lb Pollock. After six drifts the coolers were full! We moved onto the Tile Grounds and had steady action with Golden Tile, Hake, Pollock, Cusk, and Blueline Tile. By the end of day two the coolers were overflowing! We fished sunrise to sunset the first two days. The mates cut fish from the end of the first day and all the way back to the dock. We ended up calling it a trip and didn’t fish the last day to beat the bad weather and have a nicer ride home. It was a very successful trip and we are looking forward to the next one on Monday. The Edible Pool went to Mike Bunch with a 68.5 Bluefin Tuna.
