Fri July 3 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports decent fishing on the Viking Star. Porgy fishing was very good early, it was an excellent shot for about two hours. Once the tide ran hard we went down the beach and anchored up and fishing was okay. Anglers were looking to move around, so Dave obliged. We tried out some drifting and fishing was tough to end the trip. We had a few Sea Bass keepers and a Striped Bass. The pool winner was Robert Sweeny from Jersey City, NJ with a 2.4 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Terrence Persaud from Brooklyn, NY with a 29″ Striped Bass.
