Sat July 4th – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies and Knothead Sebass

Capt. Dave reports a day of excellent Porgy fishing. The first few hours we had great conditions and great fishing with mostly large and jumbo Porgies being caught. We did have a couple Seabass today but the Porgies were really biting. The tide started to run hard towards the end of the trip which made for tougher fishing but everyone had gotten plenty by that time. The pool winner was Mr. Park from Flushing, NY, with a 3 lb LARGE Porgy.

Have a safe and happy 4th of July!Man on boat proudly holds up a caught fish, with others sitting nearby. Person in fishing gear holding a fish on a boat deck.
