Wed Aug 5 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports a great trip on the Viking Starship. We started off around the lighthouse in excellent conditions. Drifting was good and we stayed there for 2 1/2 hours pulling up double header Porgies. Every cooler was full of Porgies, so we headed to the east to do some Sea Bass fishing. There were plenty of fish there, but we had to pick through a lot of small ones. We had some keeper Sea Bass along with Fluke up to 5 lbs and Bluefish. The pool winner was James Wei from Flushing, NY with a 2.5 lb Porgy.
