Back to Viking Fleet Fishing Reports

Thurs Aug 13 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports good fishing on the Viking Starship. The trip started out with a steady pick of decent size Porgies. We decided to try the offshore Sea bass spot and found plenty of fish with only a few keepers out there along with some nice keeper Fluke. On our way back in we stopped at the lighthouse for a one and a half hour drift. We caught the entire drift with decent Porgy fishing and some Sea Bass and Blues. The first place pool winner was Cliff Fearon from Union, NJ with a 2.9 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Biplob from Philadelphia, PA with a 9 lb Bluefish.
