Tue Aug 25 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports excellent fishing on the Viking Starship. We started out down the beach and had good fishing with mixed size Porgies, mostly Mediums and Larges. It was good fishing around the lighthouse during slack tide. We had them good until a big shark showed up, so we moved about a mile and had excellent Porgy fishing with some Sea Bass. There were also about 40 to 50 Cocktail Blues and a few Triggerfish. The pool winner was Kenny Price from Queens, NY with a 2.8 lb Porgy.
