Wed Aug 26 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports Excellent fishing today on the Viking Starship. We started off down the beach out of the tide and had a nice pick of the biggest kind! The Porgies were the largest we have seen since July! All Large & Jumbo! We finished off at the lighthouse and made one drop. It was a mixed bag of mixed size Porgies, some keeper Sea Bass with a lot of throwbacks, Bluefish, Triggerfish and Fluke. The first place pool winner was Ray Young from Brooklyn, NY with a 4 lb JUMBO Porgy. The edible pool winner was Kim Callander from Roselle, NY with a 6 lb Fluke.
