Back to Viking Fleet Fishing Reports

Thurs Aug 27 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports another great day of fishing on the Viking Starship. Again we started off down the beach out of the tide and had very good fishing with all Large and Jumbo Porgies! We did so well there we headed offshore to the Sea Bass spot. There were plenty of Sea Bass, but  only a handful of keepers and some Fluke. We finished off east of the lighthouse and anchored. It was a mix of medium Porgies and small Sea Bass. The first place pool winner was Errol Burke from Bronx, NY with a 2.5 lb Porgy.
