Sat Oct 24 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports a good trip on the Viking Starship. Porgy fishing was excellent up close to the island drifting. We had nice size Porgies and a lot of little Sea Bass with some keepers. Offshore we tried a couple of spots. The best was the deep water at the end of the trip. There were big Sea Bass up to 5 lbs, nice size Porgies and some Mackerel. The first place pool winner was Florentino Teotchan from Brooklyn, NY with a 3 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Gershwin Vallejo from Brooklyn, NY with a 5 lb Sea Bass.
