Wed Oct 28 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports good fishing on the Viking Starship. We were up close to the island all morning drifting, catching nice size Porgies. By 11am we had what we needed, so we headed offshore for Sea Bass. The first couple of drops were tough with smaller fish. Once we got into the deeper water the fishing was great with Sea Bass up to 4 lbs and some Porgies and Mackerel in the mix. The pool winner was Julio Ribot from the Bronx, NY with a 2.8 lb Porgy.
