The edible pool winner was Freddy Bonilla from Brentwood, NY with a 2 1/4 lb Bluefish.

All in all it was a nice morning. The first place pool winner was Frank Pontecorvo from Lindenhurst, NY with a 5.75 Fluke. The second place pool winner was 5 year old Arden Ficken from East Setauket, NY with a 4.25 lb Fluke.

Fri June 14 – Montauk Spring Jumbo Porgies

Capt Dave reports a good day on the Viking Star. We started out at the lighthouse where we had good fishing for awhile until the tide started raging. We headed down the beach because of the tough conditions where we had a steady pick of mixed Porgies. Once that slowed down we checked out a few more spots where we got quick shots of fish. All in all it was a productive day. The pool winner was Winston from Irvington, NJ with a 3 3/4 lb Porgy.

Fri June 14- 1/2 Day Fishing AM

Captain Carl reports that the wind made for very fast drifting conditions this morning on the Viking Stariper. Lots of big, beautiful Sea Bass were caught and released unharmed. Sea Bass season begins June 23rd. Only a few of the many Fluke caught today were keepers. Meghan Longnecker of Southampton was the pool winner today with a 3.2 pound Fluke.
