Sat June 15 – Montauk Jumbo Lighthouse Porgies

Montauk Jumbo Lighthouse Porgies
Capt Dave reports a slow day on the Viking Star. We started off down the beach and it was a very slow start, so we moved on quickly. We found some drifting by the lighthouse, but the ebb tide came on and that was it. Even though it was a picky bite the Porgies we did have were a good size. We also had some keeper Fluke, some Striped Bass and Bluefish. The pool winner was Bim from the Bronx with a 3 3/4 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Freddy Bonilla from Brentwood, NY with a 2 1/4 lb Bluefish.
