Wed June 4 – Montauk Spring Jumbo Porgies

Montauk Spring Jumbo Porgies Capt Dave reports excellent fishing today on the Viking Stariper. The first drop was really productive with big Porgies and some Bluefish for a few hours. The tide came on hard and we made a move where we found tons of life, but the Porgies were smaller and there were throwback SeaBass.

Tue June 4 – Montauk Spring Jumbo Porgies

Montauk Spring Jumbo Porgies Capt Dave reports a great day on the Viking Stariper. Fishing started off at the lighthouse where it was slow and we had a handful of big Porgies. We then headed to the bay and it was a bail job on one drop! Great fishing with big beautiful Porgies. We also had some Bluefish and a bunch of throw back SeaBass. The pool winner was Napoleon Rodriguez from Queens, NY with a 4 1/2 lb Porgy.

Mon June 3 – Montauk Spring Jumbo Porgies

Captain Dave reports another great day of Porgy fishing in Montauk. We did have to move around a few times to get the big ones but we did it ! Fishing was just great and we had some happy customers who filled their coolers with some beautiful Porgies. In today’s catch we had a handful of Weakfish and some Bluefish. There was no pool on today’s trip. We are sailing daily at 5am and have plenty of spots available. Sun June 2 – Montauk Spring Jumbo Porgies

Capt.Dave reports an excellent day of porgy fishing. We caught a lot of beautiful large seabass and had to throw some back. The pool winner is Remy Braddock from Hackensack, New Jersey with a 3/14 lb scup.

Sat June 1 – 1/2 Day Fishing PM

1/2 Day Fishing – PM Capt Carl reports a tougher afternoon on the Viking Fivestar. The trip started out good with a lot of action, but the keepers were hard to come by. The pool winner was Rick Backofen from Manorville with a beautiful 7.8 lb Fluke.

Sat June 1 – Montauk Spring Jumbo Porgies

Montauk Spring Jumbo Porgies Capt Dave reports EXCELLENT fishing on the Viking Stariper. We are still fishing in the bay and had the best action we have seen so far. There were mixed size Porgies with tons of action where we had smaller throwback fish and good Jumbos. We also had 2 Fluke, some Bluefish and a ton of big throwback SeaBass. The first place pool winner was Romel Padiernos from Hawthorne, NJ with a 4 lb Scup. The edible pool winner was Kevin Stewart from Bronx, NY with a 3 lb Bluefish.

Sat June 1 – 1/2 Day Fishing AM

1/2 Day Fishing – AM Capt Carl reports a good morning trip on the Viking Fivestar. It started out slow but it picked up and we had a lot of action. In the end we had a couple of keeper Fluke and plenty of SeaBass returned unharmed. The pool winner was Peter Murro from Coram, NY with a 6.3 lb Fluke.

Fri May 31 – Porgy Report

Montauk Spring Jumbo Porgies Capt Dave reports a decent day of fishing on the Viking Stariper. We stayed relatively close and had very good action. The Porgies were smaller today. There were also Fluke, Bluefish, and Weakfish caught today. The pool winner was Kevin Hatch from Uniondale, NY with a 2 1/4 lb Porgy.

Fri May 31 – Fivestar Striped Bass/Fluke Charter

Striped Bass/Fluke Charter Capt Carl reports a lot of action on the Fivestar charter this morning. We started jigging up Bluefish and had 1 keeper Bass. After that we switched to Fluke where we had a lot of action with keepers up to 8 lbs. We also had a bunch of SeaBass that were returned unharmed! The crew thanks the great group of guys onboard!!
