Wreck Trip Charter – Viking Fivestar Capt Steven Jr reports that we had Rick Harrison and the guys for a wreck trip and we had to work for it but we put a day together. We ended up with a nice pile of jumbo Seabass, Ling and Cod with a couple of haddock as well. It looks like the weather will be keeping us at the dock for the next couple of days. As of now we are looking to get back out on Wednesday the 19th!

Block Island Cod & Sea Bass – Viking Fivestar Capt Steven Sr reports fantastic fishing today on the Viking Fivestar. Today’s plan was to seek revenge after not being able to properly fish the targeted spot on Wednesday’s Offshore Cod/SeaBass trip. Once we got there fishing was good – good. We limited out early on SeaBass, so we hit some other areas where we found a handful of Cod, lots and lots of Ling, some Haddock and Bergalls.
Wed Dec 12
Offshore Wreck Trip- Cod & SeaBass Capt Steven Sr reports “Mother Nature Wins!” Although we did manage some LG SeaBass, a couple of Cod, Ling and Cunners for those who could feel the bite. The fish were there, but the conditions were horrible. We had 6 to 8 footers with a 10 foot in there! This made it very difficult to feel a bite and land the fish. It was good until sunrise then the wind came on – 25 to 30 knots and never stopped. It was a rough day! The pool winner for both pools was Bill Moore from Rocky Point, NY with a 12.5 lb Cod & a 4.2 lb SeaBass
Wed Dec 12
Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass Capt Dave reports another good day of fishing on the Viking Starship. We had tough conditions with the wind, but we pretty much had a repeat of yesterday with plenty of Porgies. and mixed size SeaBass with everybody catching a few big keepers, but having to pick thru the smalls. We also had about a dozen Cod. We didn’t have a pool today. Tomorrow will be the last day of the regular Block Island Porgy & SeaBass Trip. Beginning Friday we will be running one trip daily – Block Island Mixed Bag – departing at 5am and returning at 5pm. The fare will be $125. We will be fishing for all of the bottom dwellers – Cod, SeaBass, Porgies, Haddock, Ling and whatever else we can find out there!
Tue Dec 11
Haddock/Cod/Scup – Viking Fivestar Capt Steven Jr reports that since our last trip out to the wrecks did not produce, we changed this trip up and went looking for Haddock. It started off slow but we were able to build up a decent pick for a while and put a nice shot of Haddock together. We also had big Scup and Cunners in the mix. High hook had 7 Haddock and most other guys had 3-5 each. At the end of the day we checked out a different area and found a few green Cod that looked to be moving into the area. We also found a couple more Haddock and some Whiting there. We have some spots open on trips coming up this week so give us a call at the office and get on while the weather is…
