Schedule Update: Friday Nov 9th Cancelled: 5AM – Cod & SeaBass (Limited Passenger) – Viking Star

Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass Captain Dave reports an excellent day of fishing today aboard the Viking Starship. We made a few drops and had a great pick. We had to pick through some of the smaller ones, but everyone ended up with plenty of keepers. A lot of action today with a mix of Porgies, Cod and Sea Bass in the 5-6 lb range. Today’s first place pool winner was Tommy Liu from Staten Island NY with a 3.2lb porgy and the edible pool winner was Henry Samuel of Brooklyn with a nice 15.2 lb Cod Fish.

Schedule Update: Sat Nov 3- CANCELLED 5AM – Porgy & SeaBass – Viking Starship 5AM – Cod & SeaBass – Viking Star As of now we are sailing  Sunday Nov, 4th on the 140′ Viking Starship for Block Island Porgies & SeaBass and on the 104′ Viking Star for Block Island Cod & SeaBass and the Viking Fivestar for Block Island Cod & SeaBass.

Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass Capt Dave reports good fishing on the Viking Starship. Our first drop was south of Block Island where we had a slow pick. We tried one more spot in the deeper water where we found Cod, Bluefish, Sea Bass and a handful of Porgies. The first place pool winner was Jose Sh from Manhattan, NY with a 3.7 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Kieth Watson from Freeport, NY with a 12.1 lb Cod. Fridays trip is cancelled due to weather.

Cod & SeaBass Charter – Viking Fivestar Capt Steven Jr reports a slower day then we have been seeing. We had some dogs to compete with thru the day. By the end of the day we had what we needed as far as SeaBass, but we had to work for them. We also had a pile of Porgies in the mix.

Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass – Viking Starship Capt Dave reports a good day on the Viking Starship. To start we had a slow pick of Porgies with dogfish mixed in. Porgies were on the smaller side today, but fishing did pick up and we had limits of decent size SeaBass. We also had some Cod, Bluefish and one Striped Bass.

Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass Capt Dave reports more improvement today on the Viking Starship. The water is getting cleaner and the fishing has improved. We had some dogfish with Porgies and SeaBass mixed in, but they were manageable. We made two drops today. On the first one we saw a mix of medium Porgies and a lot of small SeaBass with some big ones mixed in. We then went to the deeper grounds and found bigger SeaBass up to 6 lbs along with some Cod, Pollock, and Bluefish. The pool winner was Ifa Gordon from Bronx, NY with a 3.8 lb Porgy. The weather is looking great for tomorrow! The office will open at 4am for ticket sales.
