Unfortunately the Thursday Feb 22 Block Island Winter Cod trip is CANCELLED. The weather is looking good for the Nantucket Wreck trip coming up this Friday, Feb 23 at 9pm. Capt Steven Jr is looking forward to going off shore to find a nice catch of Cod, Pollock, Hake and whatever else we can find out there! Schedule Update: We will definitely be sailing tomorrow Sat, Feb 17 at 3am for the Block Island Winter Cod trip. The office will open at 2AM for ticket sales. You can also book online or call the office until 4pm today.

Block Island Winter Cod Capt Carl reports a very tough day on the cod grounds. We were in constant search mode looking for the big herd but never found them. We made many drops and worked the areas hard to no avail. We know they are here somewhere and will continue to fish hard until we find them! Unfortunately we are CANCELLED for tomorrow’s trip due to weather. We are looking to get back out there on Monday.

Schedule Update- Our next scheduled date to sail on the Block Island Winter Cod Trip is Saturday Feb 3. The trips for  Wed 31, Thur 1 and Fri 2 are cancelled due to bad weather. 

Block Island Winter Cod – Viking Superstar Capt Carl reports a struggle on the cod grounds today. We started off anchored up right where we have been seeing good fishing, but the Cod did not cooperate at all. From there we searched around only to find a couple keepers. Hopefully after the moon passes, the cod will begin to chew again. Long time Viking regular Bruce Wahl from Greenport, NY took the pool with a 12 lb cod.
