Sunset Mixed Bag Magic Hour Capt Liam reports that fishing was great on the Magic Hour trip tonight. It was lock ‘n load fishing from start to finish. We had fluke to 5 and a half pounds and a fair amount of sea bass. There were a few full buckets around the boat too. Pool winners and photos to follow.

Half Day – PM Captain Joey D reports a beautiful afternoon aboard the Viking Star. We had a nice catch of fluke, sea bass and scup. The first place pool winner was Brad Maggio from Rocky Point, NY with a 6.12 lb Fluke. The second place pool winner was Walter Jankowski from Bayport, NY with a 6.10 lb Fluke.

Montauk Jumbo Summer Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a great day of fishing aboard the Viking Starship. We changed things up today by fishing for sea bass first and fishing was excellent! After everyone got plenty of sea bass we worked back towards the lighthouse looking for porgies. We brought in a nice mix of porgies and sea bass. We had one great drift in perfect conditions where we brought in some really nice jumbo sized porgies. Nikki Noel took the pool with a nice 3.25 lb scup.

Magic Hour Sunset Mixed Bag Captain Dave reports a fun night of fishing aboard the Viking Star. We had plenty of actions with tons of short fluke with some nice keepers mixed in up to 4.3lbs. We also had some nice porgies and sea bass and a few stripers. Donny Keefe of Stony Point with a nice 18lb striped bass.

1/2 Day – PM Capt Joey D reports a slower afternoon on the Viking Star. The fluking was slow, but we had a lot of sea bass brought on board. The pool winner was 8 year old Liam Byrne from Greenlawn, NY. with a 4.1 lb fluke.

Montauk Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a slow start to fishing aboard the Viking Starship today. We started off where we’ve been getting nice sized porgies the last few days but the bite was slow. We moved around then and found a decent pick of mixed size porgies and plenty of sea bass. We also had some nice big fluke. The pool winner was Spoonie Burrus from Brooklyn with a 3lb Porgy.

Half Day-AM Capt Joey D reports all the normal suspects on this mornings trip on the Viking Star. Fishing was tough due to the hard ebb tide. Even though it was a bit slow we managed to put a catch together. There was a lot of action with tons of shorts.
Tues July 18
Full Day Fluke & Sea Bass Captain Aaron reports an excellent day of fishing aboard the Viking Stariper. Everyone on the boat filled their limits of both fluke and sea bass. The pool was won by John from Syosset NY with a 6.5lb fluke. John also had 8 keeper fluke! (ORL)
Tues July 18
Half Day Fishing PM Captain Dave G reports a beautiful afternoon of fishing on the Viking Star. We had a lot of action with fluke and porgies, and we had some real nice keeper sea bass. Kevin Kern of The Viking Fleet had a nice 6.pounder. Today’s pool winner won both first and second place- first time fisherman 5 year old Kai Presley Levin of Tennessee with a 6.16lb fluke and a 4.5lb fluke.
