1/2 Day Fluke PM Captain Steven Jr reports a good day of fishing aboard the Viking Stariper. Conditions were good and there was plenty of Fluke action with a handful of keepers as well as some porgies. Pool winners to follow.

Montauk Jumbo Porgies Captain Dave reports an overall good day of porgy fishing aboard the Viking Star. We had a good shot in the morning with perfect conditions, but then in slowed down a little bit into the afternoon. We still picked away slow and steady all afternoon. We had some really nice quality porgies today, we also had some sea bass that were all released unharmed. Sea Bass season opens tomorrow, so make your reservations today! 1/2 Day Fluke PM Captain Steven Jr reports a good afternoon of fluking aboard the Viking Starship today. There was lots of action getting us plenty of keeper Fluke and some Porgies. Everyone had a great time! The first place pool winner was Mike Benett a local from Montauk with a nice 6.4lb Fluke and second place went to Steven from Brooklyn Ny with a 4.8lb Fluke.

Half Day Fishing – PM Capt Steven Jr reports better fishing this afternoon on the Viking Starship with much nicer conditions. We had good action and a nice mess of keeper fluke. We even had an angler catch their limit of fluke! The pool winner was Mike Lewis from East Norwich with a 5.5 lb fluke.

1/2 Day Fishing – AM Capt Steven Jr reports a very tough morning with rough conditions on the Viking Starship. Things were pretty slow, but we did manage a couple of keepers and some porgies. Marty Dowd from NYC was the pool winner with a 3 lb fluke.

Montauk Jumbo Summer Porgies Captain Dave reports a great day of fishing today aboard the Viking Star. Fishing started off like a house on fire with lots of beautiful big fish. We anchored up and stayed in the same zone south of the lighthouse for a couple of hours. We picked through most of the bigger fish here until we were getting mostly medium sized scup. Then we drifted east of the lighthouse and found some more nice sized fish as well as plenty of big Sea Bass which were all returned unharmed. We also caught a keeper Striper and some Fluke. The pool winner was Cornell Armstrong from NJ with a nice 3lb Porgy.

Montauk Jumbo Porgies Captain Paul reports an excellent day of fishing aboard the Viking star. The weather was perfect and fishing couldn’t of  been better. We drifted away and had plenty of Porgy action all day. We also had a few Stripers coming over the rails as well as some Sea bass which were all returned unharmed. The Pool Winner was Danny Yuen from Queens with a nice 3.7lb Porgy.
