Montauk Jumbo Porgies & Seabass Capt Dave reports good fishing by the lighthouse. We had mixed size porgies with some sea bass in the mix. The first place pool winner was Chen from Brooklyn with a 4.3lb porgy. Night Striped Bass Capt Carl reports just an OK night on the bass boat tonight. We had to wait a while for the tide change and once the ebb started we started to pick away at mixed size bass, with some big ones, some smaller good eating sized ones, and some shorts. Considering that the ebb tide has not been too friendly to us this year, we were happy with a fair catch of bass onboard tonight. Montauk Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a good day of porgy fishing today aboard the Viking Starship. We had a good catch of mixed sized porgies and sea bass with a few fluke and a couple blues. The first place pool winner was Magdy Elsharouny of Rosland with a 3lb porgy and in second place was Han Jin from Closter, NJ with a 4.5lb fluke. Long Range Night Striped Bass Capt Carl reports a solid night of bass fishing on the Viking Starship! We had to wait a while for them to bite… The outgoing tide still hasn’t produced much for us, but as the flood tide got going, the cows started chewing. We picked away at fish mixed size but the majority in the XL size class. Brandon Bellairs from Levitown, NY took the pool with a 39 lb beautiful Striped Bass. We then moved toward Block Island and had a good mix of porgies and sea bass. The first place pool winner was Arris from NYC with a 3lb porgy. Night Striped Bass Capt Carl reports a great night of bass fishing on the Viking Starship! After a few drifts of nothing, they turned on and the rest of the night we had good steady action catching 2-7 big bass each drift! They were hungry and we were on them!
