Wednesday October 29th

Block Island Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports we had some nice size  fish today porgies up to 3.9lb sea bass up to 5lb about 12 keeper cod. The dog fish gave us a hard time today we had to move around to shallow waters to get away. The pool winner Mr Choung from Flushing, NY with a 3.9lb Second place went to Mr Park from Flushing, NY with a 10.5lb Cod

Tuesday October 28th

Block Island  Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a good day on the porgies and sea bass grounds. We had about 12 keeper cod and even blue fish in the mix.The quality of fish were nice size everyone caught there limit on the sea bass. The pool winner was Mr Yoel Suarez from Clark, NJ with a 4lb porgies Second Place went to Mr Dane from Queens, NY with a 11lb Cod fish.

Monday Oct 27

Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports another tough day of fishing due to the windy weather. We still managed a decent catch of some porgies, some blues, about a half dozen cod up to 10lbs and everyone had their limit of nice big sea bass up to 5lbs. Today’s pool winner was Marvin Hendricks of Queens with a nice 3.75lb porgy.

Sunday Oct 26

Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports an okay day of fishing today. We had some really windy weather which made fishing difficult today but we still managed a good catch of nice quality sea bass- which most everyone had their limit- and some porgies. We also had some cod and blues in the mix. Today’s fist and second place pool winner was Derek Buchanan of Teneck NJ with a 4lb porgy and a 7lb cod.

Sat Oct 25

Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports that fishing was very good today aboard the Viking Starship. We had a mixed bag of nice porgies, sea bass, cod and blues. Pool winners to follow.

Friday Oct 24

Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports despite some rough weather we had today, fishing was better than expected. We had a mix of porgies, sea bass, blues and cod. There were some dogs around, but they didn’t seem to be that much of a bother. Today’s pool winner was Jim Jabro of Copiague NY with a nice 3.9lb porgy.

We will be sailing on Thursday’s Fall Sunrise Live Eel Trip Departing at 6am and Returning at 12pm the fare is $85 with a $5 rod rental. We even managed some keeper cod and blue fish in the mix. The pool winner Mr Dane from Queens, NY with a 4lbs porgy.

SCHEDULE UPDATE: Thursday Oct 23th, Captain Ant has decided to put on a New Moon Special Evening Live Eel Trip that will be departing at 8pm and returning at 2am.
