Schedule Update: Cancellations: Sun Nov 11 5AM Block Island Cod & SeaBass (Limited Passenger) – Viking Star *We will be sailing at 5am on the 140′ Viking Starship for Block Island Porgies & Knothead SeaBass!

Fri Nov 9

Block Island Seabass/Blackfish/Cod – Viking Fivestar Capt Steven Jr reports a good day with the given conditions. We started off Black fishing and had a good pick of quality fish up to 8lbs. Then we went off Seabassing and had a steady pick with a lot of smaller fish to work thru, but we ended up with everyone having their limit. There is still not much cod around yet, but everyone is going home with a pile of meat every trip.

Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass Capt Dave reports a good day on the Viking Star. The first drop was a tough pick with mostly smaller Porgies and SeaBass. We made a move to the east an found really nice quality SeaBass in the 4 to 5 lb range. The Porgies were tough to find today, but everybody had a handful. There were also about 5 Cod in the teens and some Bluefish. The first place pool winner was Alphanso Benjamin from Bronx, NY with a 2.3 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Shihai Zheng from Brooklyn with a 14 lb Cod fish. Unfortunately Saturday’s trip is CANCELLED due to the weather. Remove

Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass Captain Dave reports an excellent day of fishing today aboard the Viking Starship. We made a few drops and had a great pick. We had to pick through some of the smaller ones, but everyone ended up with plenty of keepers. A lot of action today with a mix of Porgies, Cod and Sea Bass in the 5-6 lb range. Today’s first place pool winner was Tommy Liu from Staten Island NY with a 3.2lb porgy and the edible pool winner was Henry Samuel of Brooklyn with a nice 15.2 lb Cod Fish.

Schedule Update: Sat Nov 3- CANCELLED 5AM – Porgy & SeaBass – Viking Starship 5AM – Cod & SeaBass – Viking Star As of now we are sailing  Sunday Nov, 4th on the 140′ Viking Starship for Block Island Porgies & SeaBass and on the 104′ Viking Star for Block Island Cod & SeaBass and the Viking Fivestar for Block Island Cod & SeaBass.

Thurs Nov 1

Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass Capt Dave reports good fishing on the Viking Starship. Our first drop was south of Block Island where we had a slow pick. We tried one more spot in the deeper water where we found Cod, Bluefish, Sea Bass and a handful of Porgies. The first place pool winner was Jose Sh from Manhattan, NY with a 3.7 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Kieth Watson from Freeport, NY with a 12.1 lb Cod. Fridays trip is cancelled due to weather.

Cod & SeaBass Charter – Viking Fivestar Capt Steven Jr reports a slower day then we have been seeing. We had some dogs to compete with thru the day. By the end of the day we had what we needed as far as SeaBass, but we had to work for them. We also had a pile of Porgies in the mix.
