Tue June 20 – 1/2 Day Fishing PM
Capt JR reports a good trip on the Viking Starlite. We started out with a decent pick of Fluke with a few Porgies in the mix. As we changed zones a couple Striped Bass were landed yielding a nice keeper for the cooler. The last hour or so of the trip the Fluke bite turned on and we had lots of action and some nice keepers all around the boat.
Mon June 20 – 1/2 Day Fishing
Capt Carl reports a much slower then usual afternoon half day trip today. There was a lot of seaweed covering our baits and hooks and dirty water. Probably from after the strong winds from the last couple of days, but we expect it to clear out overnight. We look forward to sailing again tomorrow afternoon!

Sat June 18 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies
Capt Dave reports excellent fishing on the Viking Star. We started out by the lighthouse drifting. It was a slow pick of all big Porgies. When the strong flood tide set in we went down the beach and it was a bail job of Porgies coming over the rail. Mr. Fish from Roosevelt Island, NY won the pool with a 3.2 oz Porgy. The edible pool went to Pachita’s Boys from Yonkers, NY with a 14.5 lb Striped Bass. Unfortunately the trip for tomorrow is cancelled.
