Striped Bass Fishing Capt Carl reports plenty of action on this evenings trip aboard the Viking Star. It was an earlier trip so we jigged most of the time and had plenty of action with a couple keeper Striped Bass, a couple shorts, a few Bluefish, some Sea Bass, and lots of giant scup. We did have some evil east wind for the trip making conditions difficult. The pool was won by Louis Gardell of NY, NY with a 14 lb. Striped Bass. We are looking forward to our upcoming June Moon trip!

Most of the fish ranged from regular larges to big mediums. We fished at the lighthouse for most of the morning, then took a ride down the beach and anchored up for awhile. We threw back a ton of Sea Bass, but the good thing is starting tomorrow we will be able to keep them! The pool winner was Milton Slaughter from Brooklyn, NY with a 4.1 lb Jumbo Scup!

We have finally received official word from the New York DEC that the Black Sea Bass season will open this Saturday June 23rd!
