Night Striped Bass Capt Carl reports another tough night of Bass fishing. We were plagued again with outgoing tide which has not produced for us all season long. We caught a couple of blues, but no bass. Paul Kowtna from Garden City, NY took the pool with a 6 pound bluefish.

Montauk Jumbo Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a very good day of fishing today aboard the Viking Starship. We had lots of nice JUMBO porgies and sea bass with non stop action. Today’s pool winner was Donald Moy with a HUGE 4.9lb porgy. The bag limits for both porgies and sea bass have just gone up, so make sure you make your reservations now! You can now keep 45 porgies at 10 inches and 8 sea bass at 15 inches until Oct 31st.

Half Day Fishing AM Captain Dave G reports a good morning of fishing aboard the Viking Star despite the breezy conditions. The rods were bending all morning and we ended up with a nice catch of sea bass porgies and fluke. Today’s first place pool winner was Brian Thompson of NYC with a 4.6lb fluke and in second place was 8 year old Euan Rafiy of Oyster Bay with a 4.5lb sea bass.

1/2 Day Fishing-PM Capt Dave G reported a nice afternoon of fishing aboard the Viking Star in breezy conditions. We had sea bass and porgies all around along with some keeper fluke and some bluefish. The 1st place pool winner was Terri Coleman from Holbrook, NY with a 6.5 lb Fluke. The edible pool winner was Chris Gobler from East Quogue with a 3.9 lb Sea Bass. September 1st-Porgy limit goes up to 45 and Sea Bass – 8.

Montauk Jumbo Lighthouse Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass Capt Dave reports good fishing today on the Viking Starship. It started off slow due to the dirty water and rough seas left over from the storm. We worked our way east and found a good pick with mixed size porgies and sea bass up to 4 lbs. We then worked our way back inshore and found BIG porgies by the lighthouse. The pool winner was Philip Clark from Philadelphia, PA with a 3 1/2 lb porgy.

1/2 Day Fishing – PM Capt Joey D reports very good fishing today. There was a heave left over from the blow, but we put a nice catch together of Fluke, Sea Bass and Porgies. The pool winner was Anders Larsen from Setauket, NY with a 6.1 lb Fluke.
