Sat Oct 5 – 1/2 Day Fishing PM
Capt JR reports a pick of Sea Bass and Porgies all afternoon. We did capture a few Fluke, but they were short. Not a bad trip as we kept the rods bent all afternoon. The pool winner was Ron Ocean with a 3 1/2 lb Sea Bass. We will be sailing at 8AM & 1PM tomorrow.
Sat Oct 5 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports a pretty good day of fishing today on the Viking Star. Conditions were perfect today as we fished close to the island. Our first drift was our longest drift, as it lasted for close to 2 and a half hours with a nice steady mixed bag pick. We saw fish of all sizes on this drift with some nice medium to large sized Porgies, no jumbos but definitely some larger ones in the mix. We did have some good size SeaBass today, but still had to pick threw a lot of little SeaBass, as well as the Mackerell.
