Capt Dave reports a good day on the Viking Starship. Fishing  started slowly but improved mid-morning near the Lighthouse. We were able to catch several sizes of Porgies. We can also put some Sea Bass and Bluefish in our buckets. The pool winner was Jose Hernandez from Manhattan, NY with a 3.3 lb Porgy and a 5.6 lb Fluke.

Captain Mike Ricker reports a fishing trip full of action. We couldn’t escape the Porgies… they were EVERYWHERE! We also had some very nice-sized Sea Bass bending the rods. Capt Mike reports that the bite tapered off a bit from this morning.  We had slower but pretty steady action all trip.   We had some nice Seabass and Porgies in the buckets with a couple keeper Fluke to add.  Nice afternoon for kids and families.

Capt Dave reports a good trip on the Viking Starship. We had to hide from the full moon tide this morning, so we anchored way down the beach out of the tide. There were very nice size Porgies there. When it got slow we headed back to the lighthouse and picked away at Porgies and found some Fluke and a few Triggerfish. The first place pool winner was one of our regulars Mr. Park with a 3.5 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Nelson Estrada with a 6 lb Fluke.

Capt Dave reports another day of excellent fishing on the Viking Starship. For a good part of the morning we anchored up hiding from the tide. We got our fill of Porgies around the lighthouse with mostly Larges and some Jumbos mixed in. When we were done Porgy fishing we headed offshore for Sea Bass….

Capt. Mike reports steady fishing all morning.  We had a nice Porgy bite with some jumbos in the buckets and a few black Seabass. The Fluke bite today was a little slow but we still managed a few nice keepers.  A lot of kids on board today catching fish! All in all Very pleasant morning…
