Half Day Fluke Pm Captain Ant reports Awesome Pm fluking with tons of action and plenty of keepers all around the boat. Angelo D had 6 keepers all to 3.5lbs the Albany Lacrosse boys went home with a 15lbs of fillet. Pool winner Steve Hanford City Island, NY with a 4.75lber. New Bedford Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a slow start but as the day went on it got better and better we had a mix of a Medium and Jumbo porgies also we saw a lot more sea bass today. New Bedford Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a bit of a picky day on the porgy grounds. There were definitely fish around, but it was a slow steady pick. Some anglers did better than others, with mostly porgies and some sea bass in the mix. Today’s first place pool winner was Joel Jones of Hollis, NY with a nice 3.25lb porgy, and Miguel Eacheio of the Bronx, NY, who accidentally took one of the mates fishing rods but it was returned, won the second place pool with a 3.5lb sea bass.

New Bedford Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a much improved day of fishing on the porgies ground we had nice size porgies coming over the rail some sea bass in the mix.The Pool winner was Danny Ko from Brooklyn, NY with a 3.5lb

New Bedford Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a slow day on the porgies and sea bass grounds you had to work at the rails today we did manage to put some meat on the boat by days end. The pool winner was Mr Jeffrey Boggis from Bethpage, NY with a 2.4lb Second place went to Mr Lola from Manhattan, NY with a 4lb sea bass.

Half Day Pm Fluke Capt Ant reports a Sensational afternoon of fluking. Frederick Shea had his daily limit of 5 fish to 5.2 lbs. Angelo Demetroulakos from Brooklyn, NY took the pool with a 4.65 lber. Christine and Mary each caught dinner and Mikey Nelson bagged 4 to 4lbs and a couple blues. George Reid and Shawn Chatham combined for 6. Montauk Local porgies Capt Ant reports the scup have not arrived yet and based on everything else a week behind schedule. We switched to fluke and had 15 keepers in 90 minutes with a Molly Whopper going 7.5lbs. Night Striped Bass Capt Ant reports a hot start to our jigging trip sat night with blues on the surface. Unfortunately once the tide changed they vanished and no bass are in the vicinity of Montauk yet. New Bedford Porgies PM Captain Dave reports that nicer weather in the afternoon on the porgy grounds showed much Improved fishing than the morning trip we had a decent catch of porgies in the pm. Friday May 16
New Bedford Porgies Capt Dave reports a good morning in New Bedford aboard the Viking Starship. It was a good start in the morning with some decent sized porgies, but as soon as the wind kicked up it was a bit picky. We also had some sea bass in the mix which were all released unharmed, but it is a good sign for tomorrow when the sea bass season opens! Today’s first place pool winner was Paula Henry from Patchogue, NY with a nice 2.5lb porgy and in second place was Andrew Faison of Atlanta, GA with a 2 1/4 lb porgy.

New Bedford Porgies Captain Dave reports again today was another slow pic on the porgy grounds but he did manage to get some meat over the rails Its was a Cold last night so that may have being why it was a tough morning. Come on down we are sailing daily from 5am 7 days a week and two trips on Saturday and Sunday 5am and 1pm. Attention: New Bedford Porgies Anglers they are doing some construction on the road way so please give yourself some extra time for travel. Also to make your trip a bit faster please come off at exit 19 Purchase Street Make a left at the overpass and drive down by the Ice house straight to the pier.
