SCHEDULE UPDATE! Unfortunately the 2 Day Deep Water Challenge for tomorrow Fri March 13th has been CANCELLED. We will be sailing this weekend for the Special Cod/Pollack Wreck Trip on Saturday March 14th ONLY! We will not be sailing on Sunday March 15th. Despite the signs of lots of life, the water temperature was very cold. We had a few shorts, a few keepers and a few ling. We will be pushing further west looking for the warmer water. Saturday October 11th

Evening Live Eel Trip Captain Ant reports another kick-bass voyage! We didn’t limit, but were only 13 shy for a sold out boat. The blues started slow but once the moon rose the bite was on. Tough drifting conditions meant nothing once they started feeding. Again mixed sizes but Anthony Kerimian took the pool with a 38 pounder and the lovely Lindsay Rapeport took 2nd with a 35 pounder. Lindsay had 3 bass and 1 blue. Steven Bento had 3, Martin Wellen Dowd had 3, Pual Ryan hacked as usual but still managed a bass. Thankfully, after two trips of watching others bail, Marc Summers landed a 15 pounder on the 2nd to last drift! Outstanding work by the A Team on the deck last night. Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports an okay day today aboard the Viking Starship. We had quality over quantity today with BIG BIG fish. We had nice porgies and nice sea bass, along with some keeper cod in the mix. Today’s first place pool winner was Embley McPherson of East Orange NJ with a 3lb porgy and in second place was Melvie Casacola of Freeport with a 10.5lb cod. Half day Bass and Blues AM Capt Ant reports a great morning of jigging. Once again bass, blues and bonito the montauk grand slam. And once again jumbo scup rounded out the catch. beautiful weather, great jiggers and bounty of the greatest waters in the world. Thursday Sept 18

Jig & Eel Combo Capt Ant reports a Local Crush on the bass last night. Once we got the tide it was game on multi fish drifts piled up bass and Big blues on the deck of the Mighty StarShip. They ranged in size from 28” to 32lbs. Many had their limit and we were close to our boat limit Calvin V Jamison aka Fat Man C  from Wappingers Fall, NY by way of ‘Harlem”took the pool with a 32lbs. Its prime time for bassing, We have a few spots left locally for saturday & tonight’s trip to behemoth land! 2 Night Tuna LTD Captain Carl reports another solid tuna trip on the Viking Star! Thursday Aug 14th

Night Striped Bass Captain Ant reports a slower trip on the local bass front due to the storm muddied waters. We picked a few and all were beauties, but once the mud rolled in, it was over. George Jehn hacked a mammoth fish. First place pool winner was a young lady with a nice 38lb striped bass and in second place was Chris Luke with a 30lb bass. Based on the water condition locally, the Saturday trips will be going to Block Island. Please reserve ASAP! We are SOLD OUT for tonight!! .

Saturday November 9

Block Island Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports another good day of fishing despite today’s rough weather. We had a nice catch of mixed size porgies and sea bass up to 6lbs. We also had a few cod in the mix. Today’s first place pool winner was Zoran Milosevic of Middle Villiage with a 3.5lb porgy, and in second place was Shirley Danne of Queens with a 12lb cod. Full Day Striped Bass Captain Anthony Reports tough conditions for jigging as the forecast of SW 5-15 knots was actually a NNW 20-25 knots. We tucked down the south side and had some blues but the water was murky brown. Friday October 25

Night Striped Bass Capt Ant reports the Night Bass was Like fishing the desert. We got our butts kicked as the wind never laid down. The pool winner Robert Garfinkel from Wantagh, NY Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports an okay day considering the rough conditions. We had nicer sized fish today, mostly porgies, a handful of sea bass from 2-5lbs and about a dozen keeper cod. Today’s first place pool winner was Matthew Chmil of Flushing with a nice 4lb porgy, and in second place was Joe Cilla of Walden NY with a 10lb cod. Friday October 18

Capt Ant Apologizes for the delayed report but here we go on the bass front: Fridays Pm Jig Trip was Excellent. We had a pick of bass and big blues off the radar to start when that died we moved around to the light and had 3 killer drifts with bass, scup and blues. John Minton took the pool with a 19lber Matt Stanton took 2nd with a 16lber. Tuesday October 15

Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports an okay day of fishing today aboard the Viking Starship. We had a good pick of mixed sized porgies, as well as a couple stripers in the mix. We went looking for the sea bass in the afternoon  and we found mostly medium sizes but we did have a few nice ones. Today’s first place pool winner was Bill Wong of Manhattan with a 3lb porgy and in second place was Donald Moy with a 9lb striped bass.

Sunday September 15

Half Day Jigging PM Captain Ant reports a much slower afternoon trip. We had a few blues sea bass scup and an 8lb fluke on the jig but no bass this trip. Today’s first place pool winner was Shane Weeks from Southampton with a 14lb bluefish, and in second was Bruce Hin of Miller Place with a 8.7lb fluke. Half Day Jigging AM Captain Ant reports an overall okay morning trip. We had blues immediately, some sea bass and porgies as well, then it picked up during the last hour of the trip and we nailed a few bass to 26lbs.
