Flood Chaser Striped Bass
Capt. Ant reports an excellent Flood Chaser trip.  We started out right at the beginning of the tide and immediately had a bass in the boat.  Then the whopper choppers took over for the next hour and a half.  Every drift yielded about 5 decked bruisers with the occasional Striper in the mix.  We bounced around trying to get away from the blues and did, yet never landed on the mother load.  However we did pick a fish or two every drift and by the end of the night we had a very respectable catch with a few fish bouncing the 30lb mark.  Pool winner was Jason Dalmasse From Southampton, NY at 38.3lbs and second place was Rich Doyle From Bridgehampton, NY at 35.7lbs.  Even our good old friend Ray “Egads” Davis landed one right at the whistle of about 25lbs.  Jimmy once again caught a bluefish.  A beautiful night of Moo Cow Hunting…finally!!!!
Night Striped Bass
Capt Carl reports a decent night bass fishing on the Viking Starship. We started out jigging and had lots of action with some small bass released unharmed and there was also a nice amount of keepers mixed in too! After the sun went down we switched to eels and found some very hungry, and very large gorilla blues that put up some very good fights! After catching those tuggers, we moved off and found some bigger striped bass and ended the night with some slobs coming over the rails! Russ Gendron came out all the way from Woodhaven, MI and took 1st place with a 36.6 lb behemoth moo cow linesider! Connor Cardenas from Saylorsburg, PA took second with a beauty 29.6 pounder! Congrats guys! Sunday and Monday nights jigging trips should be great this week!
Half Day Fluke PM
Captain Ant reports an afternoon bloodbath of Montauk’s summer bounty. We had over 30 keeper fluke and over 90 black sea bass along with some ocean scup, two blues, and a gorgeous striped bass. The pool winner was 8 year old Madelyn Berr of Westport with a 6.5lb fluke. Mary Poppins had 2 keeper fluke and 3 really nice sea bass. Aunt Joanie also had an 8lb bluefish. Little Ant caught biscuits to 5lbs, a keeper fluke and a keeper bass.
Full Day Fishing Charter
Captain Carl reports a very nice day on the Viking Stariper led by Joseph Piccinone. It was a great mixed bag trip! We had lots of fluke at a decent size, a few JUMBO sea bass, some gorilla blues and striped bass. All in all it was an excellent trip and every left with their coolers full!
Full Day Montauk Porgies and Sea Bass
Captain Dave reports a slow day of porgy fishing today. The bite was off, but we still managed to get some fish. We had some porgies and a few sea bass, all on the smaller size. Also had a bunch of trigger fish and some fluke. Today’s first place pool winner was George Reid of Bushkill PA with a 3lb porgy and in second place was Winston Kelly of Queens with a 4lb trigger fish.
Half Fishing AM
Fishing was very good this morning. We had a little mess of fluke up to 5.5lbs, and we also had a really nice shot of sea bass as well. All in all a beautiful day out on the water today. The pool winner was Michael Nagle from Mahopac NY. The second place pool winner was DJ Reich from Ardsley NY with a 4.2 fluke.
