Sunset Stripers Jigging Trip

Capt. Ant reports the Sunset Striper Slam on Monday was full of action for the first 2 hours but as the tide slowed o did the catching.  We started bailing blues, our first two drifts producing about 50 of the sabre toothed alligators.  We moved zones and found some beautiful bass and continued to bloody the Viking Star.  Unfortunately that was short lived, but not after Angelo nailed 3 (orl)..man was he on fire.  Jonny “Jesus” of the Elbow” Rewinski brought a couple of disciples who also caught a bass apiece, Jonny however could only manage the choppers.  Overall we had about a third of the boat catch a bass and about 90% catch a blue or 6:)  Great crew, Great Sunset, another great summer night of Viking Fishing! The Pool winner was Jeff Thompson from Elmont, NY with a 16lbs Second place went to Ryan McCulley  with a 15lb

Capt Ant reports a continuation of fluke domination throughout the intermittent downpours this morning. Over 30 keeper fluke landed with two fares limiting out, including local George which truly means the fish were thick. What an outstanding crowd who put forth the effort and fished through the summer showers. They were rewarded with big bags of neat that also included some scup and sea bass. The first fish on the boat was our pool fish at 7lbs. Check out the shots of the soggy yet happy anglers!!!
