Night Striped Bass
Attention Bass Assassins!
Capt Ant reports a phenomenal Father’s Day excursion with behemoth size bass slamming on the deck of the Viking Star. We jigged up a couple early and lost a giant as well. At sunset, we switched to the snakes and it was game on! Just like Saturday night, we’d get a couple hook ups a drift, but they were solid size bass. After 4 drifts, Danny Wes had 3 keepers to 30lbs, but he was saving the best for last. A mammoth 44.22lb bass! Little did Danny know, Chris “Cool Hand” Luke also hooked up and the two competitive friends waited until the return for the official weigh in. Congrats to Chris whose fish weighed in at 44.57lbs! We had another customer with 3 keepers to 36.21lbs. Honorable mention goes to John Stella who jigged up some scup and also had a 24 pounder. We had a great night, the bassing is on in Montauk! We have officially started our 2014 Bass Moo Cownter!

Half Day Fluke AM
A full report will follow The pool winner was Heather Payne from Montauk, NY with a 5.3lb Second Place went to Danny Wes with a 4.1lb

Montauk Cherry Harbor Porgies
Capt Ant is sad to report our Cherry Harbor Porgy Express on the Viking Stariper season ended yesterday with kind of a fizzle.  The sweet waters turned dirty and never really produced that ferocious feeding frenzy we came accustomed to.  Mikey Nelson took the pool with a beauty as seen in the photo.  It was a pick all trip but as always some guys managed their limits.  Capt Ant, Steve Ho, Big Steve, Jesse Twice and Galley Captain Fred Shea would like to thank all who took part in this special trip this season.  We hope you enjoyed it and are already looking forward to next spring!!

Half Day Fluke PM
Capt Ant report is simple…uggh!!!!  Tough day for the flatties.  We tried to out run the dirty water and only picked a few with not much action other than skates and dogs.  We tried fishing the weed and although we had a couple, again no action.  So we tried to get behind the weed and that produced some keepers and some action at least but not very good at all.
