Montauk Jumbo Spring Porgies

Captain Carl reports another great day porgy fishing on the Viking Stariper. The bite was a bit picky today, But those with the skills did very well. Again we saw mostly jumbo porgies. The pool winner was Stacy Carchi from Queens, NY with a 3.90lb  scup.

New Bedford Porgies and Sea Bass-AM

Captain Dave reports an excellent porgy and sea bass bite this morning. There was a lot of action with two striped bass being caught as well. The pool winner was Elroy Tonge with a 3lb porgy. Remember, we are sailing daily at 5am from the State Pier- New Bedford, MA. There are additional afternoon trips on the weekend at 1pm.

Half Day-PM

Captain Stephen Francis reports a very slow afternoon on the Viking Stariper. We had wrong conditions most of the trip which had a major affect on the fluke bite, but we managed to scratch a couple of keepers out. The pool winner was Matt Brierley from East Hampton, NY with a 4.5lb fluke.
