Block Island Behemoth Striped Bass
Captain Carl reports a decent night of fishing on the Block Island Behemoth trip despite the unfavorable conditions. Our first drift, we decked 2 big moo cow bass. One was over 40lbs and the other was over 50lbs! We grabbed a few more big moo cows until the tide crapped out and then we had a lull in the action for a while. The tide changed again when we decked a couple more big striped bass! Most of the bass we had were over 30lbs. Daryn Moller of Stony Brook took the pool with his trophy 50lb 2oz behemoth bass.

Montauk Jumbo Summer Porgies and Sea Bass
Captain Dave reports good fishing despite the east wind. Everyone had their limit catching nice size porgies and sea bass. The first place pool winner was Gran Jose from Franklin Square, NY with a 3.75lb porgy. The second place pool winner was Cheng Qi from Bensonhurst, Brooklyn with a 4.5lb sea bass.

Half Day AM
Captain Joey D reports tough fishing with the strong NE wind and strong ebb tide. The pool winner was 8 year old Steven Azzone from Bayport, NY with a 3lb fluke.

John Viol Inshore Hungryman
Captain Steven Sr reports very good fishing all day with knothead sea bass and large fluke up to 10lbs, with at least 8 fish over 6lbs and limits of sea bass up to 4.5lbs. Striped bass conditions were not in our favor, however we did manage a few with the largest being 4.4lbs caught by Chris Theodorellis from Hauppauge, NY. The winner of the fluke pool was the one and only John Viol himself with a 10.2 pounder. Good solid fishing for a good group of guy’s and gal’s. Thanks for a great trip. Captain Steven Sr., Captain Stephen D, and Steve Ho.
