Monday August 17th

Full Day Jumbo Fluke and Sea Bass
Captain Carl reports a good day on the full day boat. We had tons of sea bass to fill the buckets. Fluking was a struggle until the end of the day when we found some nice keepers to work on. All in all a great day! The pool winner Mr Jaehyun Hwang with a 5.3lb fluke. The edible pool winner Mr. Angelo Dementoulakos with a 4.7 Sea Bass.

Montauk Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass
Captain Dave reports that fishing started out great in the morning, but as the day went on it slowed to a pick. We did have some big scup and sea bass in the mix. The pool winner Mr Tito Agosto from Brooklyn, NY with a 3.5lbs Porgy.

Half Day Fluke AM
Captain David G reports a nice morning of fishing aboard the Viking Star. We had a nice catch of fluke , sea bass, and giant porgies . The pool winner was Elizabeth Cipriano from East Hampton, NY with a 6.6lbs Fluke.

Half Day PM
Captain Dave G reports a great afternoon on the fishing grounds! There was plenty of action, with the fishing rods bending all afternoon. We ended up with plenty of sea bass and fluke and also some porgies. The pool winner was Jodi Amex-Frankel from Westchester, NY with a 4.5 lb Fluke.

Magic Hour
Captain Stephen D reports that bottom fishing and striped bass fishing was good. At the beginning of the trip they targeted porgies and sea bass. After the sunset they put on eels and got on the meat. They had some nice striped bass coming over the rails.
