1/2 Day Fluke AM
Captain Sarah reports a great day of fluking aboard the the Viking Stariper with lots of action. There were three fluke over 5lbs. There was lots of sea-bass action too with a handful of large keepers. There was few porgies caught too to round off the morning. The first place pool winner was Roger Peterson from Tuckahoe NY with a nice 4.6lb fluke and second place went to Brendan from Staten Island with a 4lb fluke.

Montauk Jumbo Summer Porgies and Seabass
Captain Dave M reports an excellent day of Porgy fishing aboard the Viking Star. Everyone caught plenty of porgies and there was some mixed sized Seabass in the mix too as well as some small blues. The winner of the pool was Castillo Ignacio from Woodside with a 3.5lb Porgy and second place went to Giselle Suero from Bronx with a 4lb Seabass.

1/2 Day Fluke PM
Captain Dave reports an excellent Fluke trip aboard the Viking Stariper. The fluking was great and there was plenty of Seabass and Porgies in the mix too. The first place pool winner was Joe Casino with a 4lb Fluke and second place went to Steven John from Woodside with a 3lb Fluke.

Sunset Striped Bass Jigging Trip
Capt Carl reports an EXCELLENT evening sunset fishing trip! We used jigs and caught tons of bluefish, a couple large striped bass, a bunch of short striped bass that were released, a pile of jumbo porgies, some big sea bass, and even a keeper fluke! It was non stop action and everyone had fun! Christopher Solomas from Seldon, NY took the pool with a 31 lb striped bass, and Jonathan Picksman from Waterville, NY took a close second with a 30 lb moo cow linesider!

Whale Watching
It was a beautiful day on the water with some birds, a loggerhead turtle, but no whales or dolphins. Sightings- 8 manx shearwater’s, 2 great shearwater’s, 10 cory’s shearwater’s, 20 Wilson’s storm petrels, 1 loggerhead turtle, 1 ocean sunfish.
