Night Striped Bass
Captain Carl reports another SOLID night of bass fishing! It started slow with the very end of the flood tide and slack, but we marked them the whole time. Finally, the ebb tide started rolling and they started chewing! Drift after drift we saw more and more bass flying over the rails! We had a couple of blues in the mix too. All in all it was great fishing! Tonight’s first place winner was Joe Khamis of Westchester with a 39.8lb bass and in second place was William Massaro of Stony Brook with a 38.1lb striped bass.

Half Day Fluke PM
Capt Dave G reports a very good afternoon on the Viking Star. We started at slack tide and the bite was very slow. Once the tide started, we caught very nice size fluke, with eight fish over 5 lbs! We also had plenty of sea bass. The pool winner was Angelo Demetroulakos of Brooklyn with a nice 7.5lb fluke and in second place was Jim Kissmer of Ronkonkoma with a 6.9lb fluke.

Montauk Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass
Captain Dave reports a decent day on the Viking Starship today. We had mostly big fish today and almost everyone had their limit of nice big sea bass. We also had 2 keeper striped bass in the mix. Today’s pool winner was Uriel Phanton of Brooklyn with a nice 3.5lb porgy.

1/2 Day Fluke AM
Capt Dave G reports a great morning of fishing aboard the Viking Star in beautiful conditions. We had lots of keeper fluke and lots of nice sized sea bass. Freddie “Motor” Shea had three 5 lb fluke plus sea bass. A great morning on the water. The first place pool winner was Nicole Randano from Long Beach NY with a huge 8.9lb Fluke and second place went to Brandon Remy from Medford NY whose Fluke weighed 4.7lbs.

Ultra Limited Fluke & Seabass
Captain Sarah reports a stellar day of Fluke fishing aboard the Viking Stariper today. The perfect drifting conditions lead to fish after fish coming aboard. Large fluke and Seabass filled up the buckets as they progressed. We also saw some Porgies and even Mackerel get snagged. All left the boat with bags of fillets and good memories of a great day fishing. Our pool winner was Jack Borkharit from West Mulford NJ with a nice 7.7lb fluke.
