Rusty Belly – Fivestar
We had our first Rusty Belly trip of the season yesterday and we had a good day. We started off black fishing and had a good steady pick of fish on most drops with some big fished mixed in everywhere. Fishing was just fine, but not as good as we are used to up east there, but the water temp is still in the mid 60’s. By mid day everyone had their limit of black fish (except for Marty) and we headed offshore to look for cod and sea bass. We had phenomenal sea bass fishing with tons of double headers and all quality sized fish. We only had a hand full of cod mixed in with a few scup and we did have some dogs, but we never had to run from them. By the end of the day everyone had happy coolers full of fish. We have a couple openings on some open boat trips this week so give the office a call and get on!

Block Island Cod/ Sea Bass- Limited Passenger
The first place pool winner was Bill Lambritsios of Broomall with an 11.6lb cod and in second place was William Tomilson of the Bronx with a 5.8lb sea bass. Full report to follow.

Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass
Captain Dave reports a little bit of a slower day today. We still had plenty of fish, but the dogs were out today which made it a bit difficult. We still managed a nice catch- there were plenty of porgies, a little on the smaller side today, we had lots of nice big sea bass up to 5lbs, about a dozen cod and some blues too. Today’s first place pool winner was Henry Logan of NY with a 3.1lb porgy and in second place was Danny Matos of Ridgewood with a 14lb cod.
